When To Replace Tires

When to Replace Car Tires with New Tires?

Cars are directly dependent upon tires for their movement as humans are dependent upon shoes for the same. Hence car tires play a crucial role in numerous driving phases, may it be drifting, normal driving, acceleration, deceleration, braking action, aiding suspension and steering response; car tires are the major component which are there playing their role in every movement of the vehicle and bearing all the load and all types of frictions upon them directly. It is therefore very necessary that to buy car tires the tires selection be done with due consideration for achieving a safe and comfortable drive. Now the question of the questions is that how and when to replace the car tires which are worn out, as the tires should be regularly checked for their wear and tear. Some of the best tips to determine whether it's time to buy new tires are mentioned below:

Car tires should be inspected on regular intervals may it be weekly or monthly but must be checked. One important aspect about the car tire

inspection is that they do not wear out uniformly and a uniform wear and tear should not be expected when inspecting the tires wear. All the environmentally friendly car tires should be inspected from the inside and outside, for uneven wear and any other cuts or bruises. It is important to note that uneven wear in tires is due to inaccurate wheel alignment, towing or pulling, faulty suspension, driving style and road conditions.

Wear Markers

May it be hard wearing car tires or environmentally friendly car tires, almost all of the good quality car tires are manufactured with wear indicators embossed in between the threads base. Car tires should be regularly checked for the wear in accordance with the wear markers, when tires tread is about to reach the level of the wear marker, replace the tires as after that the car tires are no more road worthy and should not be blamed for any accident. Hence the tires should be replaced when there is around 3 mm of car tire tread is remaining, to be on the safer side.

Life of the Tire

Almost all of the car tire manufacturers claim that the life of car tire is five years from the date of manufacturing. It is also mentioned on the side wall of the tires. The tires should be thus immediately replaced when that date is over, even though if the wear in the car tires may not be that much. As after that the car tires performance is compromised and safety concerns too. The manufacturing date is mentioned as a four digit number in which the first two numbers indicate the week of manufacturing and the second later numbers indicate the year of the car tires.

Hatchback Car: Introduction and Advantages

What are advantages of hatchback cars?

It's been more than a decade to the production of hatchback cars. Earlier, they were only made to satisfy the basic needs of a car but now they are available with different forms of innovative designs. The new hatchback cars in the market are exciting, safer, luxurious, economical and more enjoyable to drive.

At present every country faces issues of prolonged traffic jams, scarce car parking space, crowded streets and too much of vehicles on the road.

Handling masses of vehicles especially huge cars like a sedan car, or a sport utility vehicle (SUV) is not only difficult but highly risky too. Thanks to the manufacturer of hatchback cars, people are able to have an easy driving experience.  Being shorter than a standard car, a hatchback car is convenient in many ways. It has a comfortable passenger space and putting down the rear seat for an ample boot space. Later the compact sizes attracted men also, specially frequent travelers,  as it allows easy passing through smaller gaps in a traffic jam as it has a small turning radius, and that it saves fuel too, due to its compact size. Consequently, the sales of these cars started growing. Being a speedy car these are also maneuverable thus ease the hassle of driving in traffic jams in metropolitan cities.

The cars are small, have less engine capacity, consume lesser fuel and this provide better mileage. These cars are available with less prices than the sedan and other mid-size cars. Hatchback cars come equipped with a wide range of features, accessories and luxuries. Some other advantages of a hatchback is that hatchback cars have less insurance duties and taxes, and they suit all – young to adult in terms of price, overhead costs, and ease of driving.

Learn How to Save Fuel: Tips for Every Driver

After buying a brand new vehicle, its major expense is of fuel, which can be gas, petrol or LPG etc. We are always concerned to save fuel of our car. As fuel prices are increasing, it will be an art that how car owners mange their fuel requirements, without disturbing their budget and travel routines. The following tips will help you save car fuel and increase fuel economy.

Avoid over speeding:

Speed above to certain limit can increase fuel consumption exponentially. Moreover, over speeding is negatively linked with gas burning up. You can verify the fact that fuel consumption is less when you are driving your car with medium speed like 60-70 kms/hour, as compared to high speeds.. Hence for smart car fuel economy avoid rash drives, useless racing or simply over-speeding.

Check and maintain tire pressure:

With the time, tires lose air pressure and sturdiness.  Old tires have more rolling resistance; this leads to more fuel consumption. Make all tires of your car checked by accurate gauge regularly. Continuous running of car also heats up the tires. You can also overcome this thing by using tube-less tires but with these tires it does not mean these do not require tire pressure checks.

Don't use unnecessary accessories:

If you have equipped your car with some extra accessories, AC can be an example; fuel burning will then be greater. This can be major issue for small cars. Therefore, for good car fuel economy additional facilities and extra load should be avoided.

Changing shifts:

Changing gears again and again will tend to vary RPMs (Resolution per minute) which automatically use more fuel. Maintaining car speed is best tool to save care fuel efficiently and effectively.

Cheap fuel and filling stations:

In under developed courtiers you would observe large variation in petrol quality from one filling station to other. Impure petrol is dangerous for your vehicle as well as it can increase fuel consumption as well. Always refill the fuel by well known filling station. You must be satisfies about quality of petrol. Cheap fuel will definitely be of poor quality. Be careful! It's the matter of your convenience.

Check air filter:

Unclean air filter halts flow of air into the engine. It is quite easy to check how old and dirty air filter is. Simple remove the filter and place in sunlight if light is not passing through it, you need to change it .A dirty air filter restricts the flow of air into the engine, which harms performance and economy. Dirty filters damage environment too.

Car care fuel economy is totally an art. If you are good at it, you would enjoy all your drives with little regard to inflating fuel prices.

CVT Disadvantages (Continuously Variable Transmission)

Disadvantages of CVT Transmission

Vehicles with CV transmission have advantages but there are a few CVT disadvantages, too, which might bother you while driving the CVT transmission car. Vehicles with CVT transmission have the following problems, or you may experience these problems, if you are accustomed to driving cars with traditional transmission system.

1. Some cars with CVT transmission produce some noise when you accelerate.

2. User acceptance. While driving vehicles with CVT transmission, you get a feel like of a slipping clutch or as though the car is only accelerating and not shifting up the gear proportional to the speed. This is normal to CVT cars, and comfortable as well. but some people do not like this way how engine accelerates.

3. Due to unlimited gear ratios, you don't experience high RPM at most times because CVT always keeps the RPM at the lowest. It gives feeling sometimes that the engine is not powerful or you may even feel that the car is not accelerating.  That's an advantage really because you don't feel high noises of the engine because it is always at the lowest RPM possible.

These were the disadvantages of CVT transmission. You will also like to read about the Advantages of CVT Transmission.
